ADIDAS ORIGINALS CONSORTIUM X FOOTPATROL EDBERG 86 LAUNCH EVENT ROUNDUP

 

It’s been four years since ADIDAS ORIGINALS CONSORTIUM and FOOTPATROL last came together to produce a shoe, so a Three Stripes/Gasmask launch party was well overdue.

Footpatrol threw open its doors last Thursday to celebrate the launch of its very topical take on adidas’ newly-resurrected court classic: the EDBERG 86 ‘STRAWBERRIES & CREAM’. Fittingly for an event celebrating a lawn tennis shoe, it rained. However, a plentiful supply of beers, loud tunes, and an ice cream truck doling out whippy cones and strawberries ensured the precipitation did not halt play. The tennis theme was extended to the décor as well, with artificial turf laid out over the shop floor and wooden bleachers proudly displaying the dessert-inspired shoe.
