Introducing the adidas Deerupt

It’s finally time for the 3-stripes to unleash their newest silhouette, the grid-inspired ADIDAS DEERUPT.

Rather than regurgitating dusty archive models as retros, the adidas design team scanned the back catalogues for a single design element to help them create a whole new product: the grid. Utilising the German footwear brand’s rich history as a gateway to the future, the new Deerupt silhouette is inspired by the structural webbing seen on heritage silhouettes that came before it, such as the New York and Marathon. Whilst the webbing only took shape on the midsoles of these ‘80s staples, the Deerupt takes it up a notch by casting the net-like covering across the entirety of the all-new collapsable runner design. The result is a highly distinct lightweight and comfort-inducing construction with a minimalist edge, which will drop in four straightforward colourways later this month – triple white, black with white, and two switched up black, red, and white options.
