Visionary sportswear: the ADIDAS Y-3 SS18 COLLECTION has been unveiled

The ADIDAS Y-3 SS18 COLLECTION has been unveiled, and futuristic sport style has never looked so good.

YOHJI YAMAMOTO and ADIDAS celebrated 15 years of advanced sartorial sportswear with their SS17 Collection preview in Paris over the weekend, and the collab partnership is looking stronger than ever. Continuing to push the boundaries of fashion and function, the new collection of men’s and women’s apparel reflects Yamamoto’s futuristic vision of a “Uniform of the Street” while staying true to its roots in adidas’ sporting heritage.

Y-3 fans often focus on the trainers – take a look at our preview of the ADIDAS Y-3 SS18 FOOTWEAR to see what all the fuss is about – but the clothing is just as impressive. The new range is based around the classic Y-3 black-and-white colour palette, spiced up with bold red and embellished with exaggerated 3-Stripes branding (imagine a future version of Run-D.M.C.). Contrasting with this stark athletic aesthetic, an all-over botanical print in shades of blue by long-time Y-3 collaborator Taishi Hayashi softens things a little and adds another facet to the collection. A stacked multi-logo print links the apparel and footwear, rounding off a confident collection that redefines sports style all over again.
