YEEZY SEASON 5 marks a sporty new direction for Kanye’s clothing imprint, and more pieces have just arrived…

Previous seasons were defined by muted earth tones and a dusty, ‘post-nuclear-apocalypse-future-urchin’ vibe. But the look was quickly done to death by everyone from the catwalk to the high street, so the timing is perfect for a change of direction for Autumn/Winter 2017. We’ve seen ‘Ye himself embracing a more athletic style in recent times, and this sartorial shift translates clearly into the new collection. Season 5 adopts a clean, sporty aesthetic with a (slightly) more varied colour palette and an unexpected dose of graphic prints that build on Kanye’s much-hyped Calabasas releases. As always, the fits are deliberately slouchy and oversized, while shearling fabrics, typographic prints and embroidered patches add detail and texture, with references to California and collegiate athletics galore.
