Rarely stocked outside of Japan, Wacko Maria has gained a cult following rooted in their deep appreciation for American culture. Established by Nobuhiro Mori and Keiji Ishizuka, both former J-League teammates, the brand was born out of the retired footballers previous joint venture, the ROCK STEADY bar, now repurposed as their showroom. The clothing reflects their “love for girls, music, alcohol and hats” consistently throughout Wacko Maria’s collections with each season taking closer influence from photographers and films. For Autumn Winter 2016 the brand’s offerings include a chain-stitched Riders Jacket, three iterations of the polyester satin Boa Coach Jacket, a Fatigue Jacket, a multitude of hoodies and graphic tees and some must-have accessories.
