For the love of corduroy: THE CORDS & CO X ALPHA INDUSTRIES reimagines classic military pieces.

Whether you’re a jumbo wale or mini-cord type of guy, there’s no doubting that corduroy is the go-to fabric du jour. Stockholm based brand the Cords & Co have made the versatile fabric their speciality, offering a premium collection of corduroy pieces for both men and women designed to offer an alternative to denim. After opening their first London store in the heart of SOHO earlier this year, The Swedish imprint have collaborated with all-American brand Alpha Industries on a capsule collection that brings together the best elements of both brands. Based on Alpha’s iconic MA-1 Fighter pilot jacket and N-3B parka, originally created for the U.S. Air Force crew some 50 years ago, the designs have been flipped into The Cords’ signature premium corduroy fabrication. The result is the perfect mixture between the functional elements of classic military design and the laid back comfort and versatility of corduroy.
