Gary Aspden’s ADIDAS SPEZIAL SPRING SUMMER 2018 COLLECTION is inspired by the second Summer of Love.

Entering it’s fourth year, the collaboration between adidas expert and cultural historian Aspden and adidas Originals continues to create context and narrative for the Spezial products in each release, and for SS18 the range seeks to encapsulate what the second Summer of Love meant to so many, and shows how it’s influence remains in music, fashion and culture to this day. Drawing inspiration from the early days of the UK rave scene and it’s pioneering electronic music creators, Spezial head to Ibiza in their latest lookbook to explore the themes of Escape, Unity, Tolerance and Discovery, creating a collection which continues to mix and blend sub-cultural references with adidas’ rich sporting heritage. Bold, often hiker-delic style graphics feature heavily throughout the range, printed on a range of t-shirts or embroidered into lightweight track jackets, with an emphasis on a light, pastel colour palette complimented by over-head smock jackets and a selection of highly anticipated footwear.
