Look on the bright side with the Stüssy Winter 2016 collection

The kind people at SIZE? have dropped a colourful assortment from the STÜSSY WINTER 2016 COLLECTION to provide some much-needed cheer in these dark days.

With the circus of disaster that is 2016 is drawing to a close, we’ll take our cheer wherever we can get it. According to “colour therapists” (no idea either, but apparently it all goes back as far as ancient Egypt), wearing brighter colours can have a positive effect on your mood. Bad news for Street Goths™, good news for everyone who appreciates classic streetwear at a reasonable price point. The latest Stüssy drop offers a Californian kaleidoscope of colour and pattern: strong stripes, clashing checks and bold blocking provide the backdrop, while an array of classic Stüssy logo hits proudly proclaim the brand’s 36-year history of running the game. Pastels are so hot right now (*cough* recent Supreme drop *cough*) and there’s plenty here, with washed-out blues and minty greens rubbing shoulders with brighter reds and purples. On the textural side of things, pinstripe painter pants and corduroy caps mix up the fabrics and provide me with a great excuse for alliteration.
