The STONE ISLAND HAND CORROSION COLLECTION unveils yet another new design technique from the Italian sportswear stalwarts’ arsenal of innovation.
‘Hand Corrosion’ is the process of dyeing white garments with distinct corrodible colour recipes, followed by the painstaking application by hand of a corrosive paste to the surface of each individual garment and all its details (including, of course, the famous Stone Island badge). Once the corrosion process has taken place the remaining surface dye highlights the unique construction of each unrepeatable garment. The Hand Corrosion capsule is comprised of military-grade cotton jackets, wide gauge knitwear, jersey sweatshirts and pants, all of which feature traces of their original colour palette of earthy tones and pastels. Stone Island continue to surprise us each season with genuinely innovative techniques and construction, and the unique patterns and coloration of these garments is another prime example of the brand’s ability to push things forward with each and every collection.
The STONE ISLAND HAND CORROSION COLLECTION is ARRIVING NOW with select retailers including FLANNELS.
