Sex Skateboards Holiday 2016 Collection – Available Now

The SEX SKATEBOARDS HOLIDAY 2016 collection is here to prove that while the UK is not so good at politics these days, it’s still great at incubating upstart skate brands.

The brainchild of artist/skater Louis Slater, Sex Skateboards taps into the culture’s independent and irreverent roots and has gained fevered attention from both high fashion and street culture in the process. An unorthodox social media presence and some well-chosen placement with prestigious retailers has caused a growing buzz around the brand, and now a wider range of products is available for the first time through a tight group of stores that would be the envy of many a more established label.

The unmissable Sex logo takes fashion’s current obsession with blatant branding about as far as it can go, seeming to play chicken with the rest of the industry (we’d love to see the brand that’s prepared to get more in-your-face than this). For the Holiday 2016 range, the scrawled lips and letters are splashed across hoodies, tees and hats with a simple but effective colour palette of black, white and pink. You can’t miss it, and that’s the point.
