Dutch streetwear champions Patta conclude their coveted PATTA X DANA LIXENBERG SIGNATURE T-SHIRT SERIES with two very different musical icons.
Born in Amsterdam and raised in New York, the critically acclaimed photographer Dana Lixenberg has a glistening portfolio that highlights those who have undeniable verbal flow in all of their works and who campaign for justice from the grassroots level. The previous installments of this series featured icons such as The Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur, Noam Chomsky, A Tribe Called Quest, PJ Harvey, Master P, Aaliyah and Allen Ginsberg, so you get a feel for the common theme amongst these legends.
Not slowing down in the critical acclaim department, the final segment in the series displays West Coast legend Too $hort at his home in Atlanta, an image which was originally commissioned for Vibe magazine in 1996. The second photo shows the master of verbal ethics, Gil Scott Heron, who was photographed by Lixenberg whilst visiting for a live showcase for the Red, Hot & Cool album. This was also featured in Vibe magazine in 1994. Each design sports a large ‘Team Patta’ back print with Lixenberg’s signature appearing below.
The final installment of the PATTA X DANA LIXENBERG SIGNATURE T-SHIRT SERIES will be available on FRIDAY 20 JANUARY online with PATTA and in their Amsterdam and London stores.
