Colour me Dad… We explore pop colour for grown ups in the latest instalment of our editorial series PAIRED UP: CHAMPION & CLARKS ORIGINALS.
While “Dad-style” might be more commonly synonymous with mid-greys and tones of navy, there’s a whole archive of evidence to suggest that brands like Champion and Clarks have fathered a fair few pop colour trends down the decades. From Ghostface album covers to American Football practice uniforms, both brands hold significant subcultural sway that has sustained them through the years, and their use of colour has often been a key feature.
For Spring/Summer ’17 both Champion and Clarks have gone in hard on the pastel hues, so we decided to pair up a selection of our favourite pieces from both brands.
