Introduced in 1990 as a retort to the sport’s overall starchy ‘country club’ demeanour, the Challenge Court line was introduced by up and coming player Andre Agassi whose style and attitude transformed the face of tennis. Drawing from Challenge Court hallmarks such as jorts and crop tops in unforgiving spandex and neon, NikeCourt’s Design Director Abby Swancutt said, “Bringing back a historical collection from 30 years ago was inspiring, challenging and really fun. We know the pieces from 30 years ago still resonate today. We created each piece to make sure we didn’t sacrifice the aesthetic and nostalgia but also didn’t compromise performance.” Treading the line between performance wear and in-the-know leisurewear, the collection boasts on-court basics like shorts and crop tops, logo-driven accessories, polos, and more.
