Skate legends Eric Koston and Guy Mariano plunder their personal archives to create their latest NIKE SB X NUMBERS CAPSULE…
Driven by an obsession for ’90s striped polos and retro activewear, the legendary skate duo and their fledgling Numbers imprint have partnered up with Nike SB to unveil a second capsule collection inspired by pieces from their own personal collections. Comprised of a windbreaker and polo, the wearable spring colour palette of white, royal blue and burgundy harks back to the early 90’s when skaters were fusing style inspirations from the world of hip-hop and mixing it with more preppy aesthetics.
The windbreaker, made from durable rip-stop fabric, features raglan sleeves for increased comfort and movement, along with adjustable bungee cord hem, hood and handy front pouch pocket that features the Nike SB logo on the front and a more subtle Numbers logo at the rear hem. The polo is about as classic-collegiate as you can get, but of course Nike SB have updated the fabrication to feature their patented Dri-FIT technology, increasing breathability and moisture wicking to greatly improve the functionality of the garment and prime it for a hard day’s skating. The whole capsule is tied together by the NIKE SB ZOOM BLAZER LOW AC. Available in both sail white and team red colourways, the shoe features a luxe suede upper, minimalist hook-and-loop straps and a herringbone tread outsole which delivers a powerful traction, along with Nike Zoom Air in the heel for a more responsive boardfeel and increased impact protection.
