Teaming up with New Balance TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO, Snow Peak has compiled a series of weatherised garments inspired by fishing gear that is sure to stand the test of time, as well as a new silhouette called the TDS Niobium Concept 1. The garments are all constructed with waterproof eVent fabric, and feature items such as a multi-pocket utility vest, tees, shorts, and fisherman’s overalls. The all-new footwear silhouette is inspired by the chemical element niobium, a grey crystalline metal that is resistant to a range of chemicals and can be molded at low temperatures. Putting these traits into the shoe, the upper takes on a Sage Green colour with a construction that allows for removal and addition of waterproof gaiters, whilst a ballistic nylon coating dons a central zipper offering ease of wear and flexibility.
