The NEIGHBORHOOD X SLAM JAM ‘BRIGADE’ CAPSULE COLLECTION is based on the ’80s underground culture that inspired both brands.

Rolling out their first collaboration of 2017, Slam Jam have teamed up with Japanese imprint Neighborhood to create a collection of innovative takes on classic styles. Focusing in on some of the key pieces that comprise Slam Jam’s signature aesthetic, the capsule includes classic coach jackets based on Neighborhood’s original ‘Brooks’ piece, updated with ‘Brigade’ printed graphics along with the initials of both brands and their respective native cities. Other standout pieces include an eye-catching satin souvenir jacket embroidered with the emblematic Neighborhood skull & crossbones logo. The range is completed by a mixture of hard-washed grunge style 14oz denim, premium broadcloth pinstripe shirting contrasted with punk-esque spray painted branding and a series of screen printed tees that replicate the graphics from the outerwear pieces, tying the collection together nicely. For die-hard fans of Neighborhood’s high level accessories, the vaunted ‘Booze Reaper’ incense chamber first released in SS16 is revisited in a chrome colourway.
