MARTINE ROSE SS19 is another victory for arguably the capitals greatest current designer.

A street in North London was the venue and thankfully the rain stayed away as Martine rose presented her latest collection to star studded audience. Eccentric as always and rejecting the notion of a common theme, the collection was a testament to the designers near unique talent of compassionately observing the world around her and condensing it down into bite-sized pieces full of love and compassion. Pieces veered wildly from motocross pants to padded tailoring and included a vast range of fabrication and silhouettes highlighting her formidable knowledge of material and construction. How this London powerhouse finds the time to put together all this as well as Balenciaga’s women’s collections season after season is nothing short of remarkable.
