The MAHARISHI WE ARE THE PEOPLE CAPSULE recreates the iconic Taxi Driver jacket

You talkin’ to me? The MAHARISHI WE ARE THE PEOPLE CAPSULE reincarnates the classic field jacket from ‘Taxi Driver’, and it drops tomorrow.

With their extensive knowledge of military garb, the pioneering UK camouflage connoisseurs at Maharishi are perfectly placed to recreate one of the most iconic jackets in cinema history. Directed by Martin Scorsese, ‘Taxi Driver’ starred a young Robert de Niro as mentally disturbed taxi driver Travis Bickle, whose field jacket embellished with pins and badges was etched into popular culture as the film gained cult status. Rather than simply remake the garment, Maharishi have added their own twist by modifying the jacket with an MA-1 bomber collar, asymmetric zip closure and thermal PrimaLoft insulation. The patches from the film have been faithfully recreated alongside a removable pin badge, and the ‘We Are The People’ text also appears as a graphic print on two t-shirts that complement the jacket.
