JUNYA X THE NORTH FACE X KARRIMOR AW18 is the latest iteration of the Japanese designers longstanding preoccupation with outerwear.
JUNYA WATANABE has been creating directional outerwear for well over decade so it’s with great interest that we can see what he has in store for Autumn/Winter 2018. Last season saw an interesting turn in direction with the addition of integrated backpacks and multi-pocket madness, with this round we can see a continuation of that theme with heavier fabrication of the colder months. So far we can see two styles of jacket, one from THE NORTH FACE and one from KARRIMOR, both featuring a myriad of pockets, straps and adjustable features that at no time seem unnecessary. Looks like there is some light wadding to keep the cold out and almost un-doubtably th addition of a water resistant treatment. These generally come with a big price but then again, they are big jackets.
The JUNYA X THE NORTH FACE x KARRIMOR AW18 range is set to drop later in the year. Have a look at the teaser images and the current JUNYA WATANABE range can be shopped by CLICKING THE BANNERS BELOW…
