The FEAR OF GOD FIFTH COLLECTION combines grunge inspiration with vintage sportswear, and it’s available now.
Jerry Lorenzo is a busy chap; in between designing Justin Bieber’s merch and outfitting Kendrick Lamar for the rapper’s ‘Damn’ tour, he’s found time to release another Fear Of God collection that encompasses everything from outerwear to tank tops and even a majestic tartan dressing gown. The brand is known for its grunge inspiration, with plaids and distressed denim anchoring past collections. But this time round the influence of vintage sportswear appears throughout the range, most notably in the wealth of grey heather jersey pieces that recall classic athletic garments. Each piece gets an unfamiliar and luxurious twist though: grey hoodies come with a contrasting bright red hood, hoodies are lined with faux shearling and quilted silk, and sweat pants are updated with biker-style zips at the lower leg. Rounding out the sporty range is a selection of satin jackets, short-sleeve hoodies and sweat shorts with contrast ribbed waistbands.
