The latest arrivals from GIVENCHY mix sportswear and luxury.
As the gap between the traditional fashion houses and streetwear continues, Givenchy’s new creative director Claire Waight Keller follows in the footsteps of her predecessor Ricardo Tisci in incorporating youthful sportswear elements into the classic Parisian suiting style of the brand’s past. Utilising the stars and stripe motifs almost like logos, these symbols appear on a variety of pieces within the collection to add a graphic, eye catching component to the collection which builds on the aforementioned blend of references. Colour blocked tracksuits, hoodies and full zip track tops with repeat logo taping reminiscent of the terraces sit alongside blazers that have been modernised with taping inserts and more rugged over-head cotton smocks.
