Camo and military influences have been in the Carhartt rotation for some time now, with army colours and bold tiger stripe camouflage featuring prominently in recent collections. The latest capsule takes a more subtle route for the most part; a selection of classic garments come in a subdued colour palette of olive, black, grey, white and navy, while the army inspiration is revealed by the functional construction details and mil-spec style branding labels that adorn each item. Knitwear comes embellished with velcro insignia strips and contrasting elbow patches, while tote bags feature heavyweight zips and nylon utility webbing. There’s a new ‘Combat Green’ camo that enlivens the range, appearing on water-repellent quilted bombers and vests and ripstop cotton shirts. A selection of caps and smaller accessories provides the finishing touch to this well-considered and well-crafted new range.
