Celebrating 100 years of the chore coat at the new CARHARTT WIP KING’S CROSS STORE

The lavish new CARHARTT WIP KING’S CROSS STORE launches with an exhibition to showcase 100 years of the iconic chore coat.

The legendary workwear brand’s latest London retail space has just opened, and it’s pretty damn impressive. Designed by Faye Toogood and located in the new King’s Cross redevelopment, the store mixes wood, concrete and raw duck canvas to reference the brand’s rugged roots. The new shop hits the ground running, hosting an exhibition in partnership with LAW magazine to mark the 100th anniversary of the chore coat. Looking very good for its age, the familiar work jacket has been reworked and reimagined by a selection of London’s fashion finest including Judy Blame, Christopher Shannon, Sadie Williams and Liam Hodges. The exhibition is open to the public throughout the weekend at CARHARTT WIP, UNIT 3, 2 PANCRAS SQUARE, KING’S CROSS.
