Carhartt WIP are one of those brands that never disappoint, and the new collection is another flawless combination of modernity and heritage. Looking to the past, this season marks the 100th anniversary of the famous Carhartt Chore Coat which looks just as good now as it did back in 1917. But it’s not all about history: workwear-inspired staples are updated with pop colours, athletic styles get modernised with reflective accents, and there’s a host of brand new silhouettes designed to transcend trends just like the Chore Coat has. Last season’s standout Military capsule returns with a healthy dose of camouflage and ripstop, and of course there’s another strong range of graphic prints that clash politics with punk. The new season kicks off with layering pieces and lighter jackets for the milder weather, moving on to heavy parka jackets for when the winter really kicks in.
