Entitled ‘NICE TO MEET YOU’, the F/W 2018 Collection celebrates Y-3’s uniquely successful combination of forward-looking innovation and high-quality craftsmanship. This contrast was brought to life by the brand’s runway show, where cutting-edge advances like Carbon 4D and Boost technology sat alongside the handcrafted, traditional elegance of Japanese sashiko embroidery. Yohji Yamamoto’s eye for pattern was visible in the collection’s camouflage floral graphic, while ‘inside out’ use of fabrics and exaggerated proportions demonstrated the designer’s avant-garde approach to garment construction.
