Inverted and elevated: the adidas Originals x Alexander Wang Collection
The new ADIDAS ORIGINALS X ALEXANDER WANG collection is here, and it’s selling out faster than you can say “upside-down Trefoil”.
The new drop chimes perfectly with the current thirst for unusual takes on classic sportswear pieces. A compact selection of track jackets, pants, shorts, long-sleeve tops and t-shirts comes in shades of burgundy, navy, black and green, complemented of course by the collection’s much-hyped new footwear offering. The branding gets flipped – quite literally – with an upside-down Trefoil logo appearing on each piece, while the famous 3 Stripes morph into pinstripe patterns that criss-cross over the garments in unexpected places. The result is a collection that offers an offbeat spin on the familiar adidas tracksuit, that icon of athletes and cozy boys everywhere.
