Germany and Japan combine their expertise for the ADIDAS ORIGINALS BY BEDWIN & THE HEARTBREAKERS FW16 collection of footwear and apparel.

Founded by Masafumi Watanabe, Tokyo-based clothing brand Bedwin & The Heartbreakers has a strong run of adidas collaborations under its belt already. And the new capsule continues the partnership’s innovative approach, putting a distinctive spin on recognisable adidas items to create something totally unlike any of the German footwear giant’s other collabs. Previous releases have focused on archive products, but this time round the canvas for Bedwin’s sartorial elegance takes a more modern turn. The NMD silhouette ditches its familiar sporty vibe in favour of a subtle pinstripe pattern that wouldn’t look out of place in the boardroom. Silver-grey and black uppers sit on bright white Boost sole units, complemented by tonal laces and dual-branded pull tabs at the heel. And in case you get really cold while negotiating that billion-dollar business acquisition, there’s a pinstripe version of the ID96 hooded down jacket to match. Prominent adidas branding at the chest ties the 3 Stripes to the pinstripes, and the Bedwin embroidery at the shoulder seals the deal.
